Today makes history

We bought our tickets to come home for Christmas in SEPTEMBER. Yes, a full 3 months in advance. And we are flying into SMF. An early Christmas miracle. It's is seriously a day that I never thought would happen. Coming in on the 19th and leaving the 4th. Can't wait!

HAPPY (late) BIRTHDAY ALAN!!

Alan entered a new decade on August 27th!



Here are some things I've learned about Alan during the past year of being married to him:
*He'll fall asleep during a movie regardless of what time you start it. Even if it's still light outside.






*He has a widespread reputation, either for being the guy who did something crazy and got hurt, or (most often) for being the guy who ate a lot of candy at a public event or celebration



*He's not afraid to wear bicycle spandex ANYWHERE



*He does not function well in heat or traffic




*He washes dishes completely before he puts them in the dishwasher


*He's wonderful and sweet and hilarious - but we all knew that already.

Happy Birthday Kaity and Lili!

Happy happy birthday to the beautiful kaity and baby lili! Kaity is such a wonderful wonderful sister and I'm soooooo happy Danny has such great taste in girls. Shes a great sister! and Lili is just the gosh darn cutest thing and everybody loves her. We have such a lucky family.

Big Brother of 8

I was looking through old pictures of our big brother Doug, and I realized that not much has changed. What a great brother we are all so lucky to have! Happy Birthday, Doug. We love you!

1. Mom and Dad are still as hip and stylish as ever.

2. Doug still wears clothes that are 5 sizes too big.

3.…still feels the need to be obnoxious and annoy the heck out of Danny.

4. the boys still wear Dad's clothes…. and they're still too big.

5. Jossy is still the smallest.

6. Dad's still building TeePee's. (look in the background)

7. ...still bossing us around (but playing nicely with us too of course)

8. … still has a body like he works out on a regular basis.

9. …still teaching Nat to surf. (and she's still not getting it)

10. Ellie's still the only one he doesn't beat up. Oh, and we are

still sleeping outside.

I thought everybody might enjoy this little video of mom! Everybody loves her and we can all see why I think. What a fun mom we have that works so hard in the home keeping up the laundry, cooking the meals, and always finding time to sit and talk or give advise. "Give thanks to the great mom...Give thanks..."
