7.4.2008 - Maui

You think Doug would have got it out of his system the last time he got a ticket, but he almost got another one. The Rangers held Enos ransom, took his keys and wallet. After sneaking away and waiting at the car for a half hour, he figured he had to go back for Enos. They both got a strong talking to. Seven Sacred Pools
Then we all jumped off the lower rock.
After a weekend of being in the car....
Enos really wanted to see the silversword, "it's the only place in the world it grows". Surprising he thinks that because Doug told us of about 100 he spotted when we were driving the 10 hour Road to Hana. Iao NeedleHonolua Bay
Enos made us stop and get Guri-Guri everytime we were in Kahalui.
"This is the only place in the world you can get it."
Doug has quite the photographers eye...nice one, isn't it. On the very long and very windy Road to Hana. This was one of the times that Doug could talk Enos into unlocking the windows so he could hang out. Doug kept asking to stop to get some more pictures, but Enos refused to lose our spot in the convoy.
We stopped at the Half Way to Hana store and got some delicious banana bread. There was banana bread everywhere. All pictures are courtesy of Ezekiel Enos :) Thanks Enos.

Awesome pictures. It looks like you guys had fun. I wish we could have come. Keep your eyes peeled for cheap tickets to Hawaii for us. We want to come soon-ish.

Wow. I've actually never jumped off that bridge. There's a nice one further up the valley before you get to the falls. I keep seeing spots with potential in Japan, but usually from the train, so there's no way you can stop and get out and check it out. Plus, people don't even really swim in the rivers, to say nothing of jumping off the rocks.

Great pictures Becky and company. That jumping hole looks very small and a very risky jump from so high. Wow baby!
